Marc catches up with Marga Gomez, a comic he knew in San Francisco some 15 years ago. They’ll talk about what it was like to be part of the emerging Bay Area performance scene that launched careers and helped to define a cultural movement. Plus, Marc embarks on an adventure with his pants that will take him into uncharted waters… literally.
Tommy Wiseau is the mastermind (writer/director/lead actor) behind the SF cult flick The Room, which screens monthly at the Red Vic. This month, Room lovers will get an extra treat, as Tommy is scheduled to show up to the 8 p.m. and midnight screenings of his film on September 17th and 18th.
(Due to prior engagements I won’t be able to hang out with the cool kids and throw spoons. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU OJ!)
I wish I had more time to promote: WE ARE NUDES @ VIRACOCHA. THIS FRIDAY + THIS SATURDAY. 998 Valencia (@ 21st Street). BART ACCESSIBLE. $5. $1 Grilled Cheese. 8:00PM BOTH NIGHTS.
(These guys sure don’t know the concept of “One Last Show”. Regardless it’s always priceless with the Nudes and Viracocha is proving to becoming a nice little venue for comedy with Justin Scales performing there last week).
