We’re loving what Chill.com is doing with comedians and helping to release and distribute comedy specials. Especially since they’ve gone from Maria Bamford to Ari Shaffir to their latest one from the very funny and sharp, Tom Rhodes, Light Sweet Crude.
Only for $4.99, you can enjoy it right now, which you can do right here.

Holla, holla! Here’s the latest epi of the Blaria Podcast. Today, I’m chatting with Emily Heller, who since moving to NYC a year and a half ago has really had her career taken off. She performed on the New Face showcase at the Montreal Comedy Festival, made her stand up debut on Comedy Central’s John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show, and is currently the warmup comic for Totally Biased. And if that’s not all, she has a web series coming out on Above Average last on this year. Not too shabby, huh? Anyway, she’s a busy person, so I was happy that she had the time to sit down with me and chat about a multitude of things including our love of VH1′s Behind the Music, comedy, and other fun things. Hope you dig it. Enjoy!
Courting Sketchfest: Huffington Post's "A Week at San Francisco Sketchfest" by Tony Bartolone
During my week in San Francisco, there were so many tantalizing events it was hard to decide what to see. The 12th Annual Sf Sketchfest was an ambitious undertaking, featuring 166 shows, lasting three and a half weeks and showcasing some of the best talent performing today. Here is my sample-platter of this year’s SF Sketchfest.
All in all, SF Sketchfest 2013 was a great, big grab bag of laughs featuring a variety of memorable events and dynamic performances. There’s nothing quite like live comedy, and SF Sketchfest definitely does it right.
Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction: David Gborie (8/15/2012)
Last night, I spent an evening at the Nerdmelt Theater in Los Angeles, CA, for the most recent edition of Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction. A star-studded line-up of comedians wrote absurdly sexual tales with subjects as divergent as Don Quixote and Alf. Congratulations to winners Solomon Georgio (Alvin and the Chipmunks) and Heather Thompson (Alf). Special shout-outs to former Bay Boys, Chris Thayer (Breaking Bad) and Bobcat Goldthwait (Green Eggs and Ham), as well as the litany of talent on display. In celebration, by permission, I present to you another winner, David Gborie, culled from a CEFF show in August at the Hemlock Tavern. NSFW. Enjoy.
