Podcast: RIFF-erendum with Steven Pearl and Al Clethen. Episode: Will Durst. Download Link: Here. iTunes Link: Here. Official Link: Here.
Will Durst is one of the most topical and funniest comics I’ve ever known. He’s known primarily as a political comic, but he can cover any subject and make it rib cracking funny. He’s also big city smart! I think an audiences’ I.Q. goes up 7 points after seeing one of his shows. Al and I got to talk to him backstage after one of his usual brilliant sets in San Francisco and here it is.
[A deeply personal, friendly conversation between three colleagues from the late 70s-early 80s Comedy Boom. There’s a great love story, a great transplant story, and some great road stories as well. Check it out.]
We did it, babies! Our first ever LIVE EPISODE! Jorma Taccone (SNL, the Lonely Island, Girls) speaks to us about ASMR, embarrassing first recordings, and being an unlikely heartthrob. Alex Koll (Comedy Central) shares with us his bowling expertise and explains what “pussy boy” means. Natasha Muse (A Funny Night for Comedy) talks science and tells the truly incredible story of how her baby came to be (hint: not the usual way!). Tony Bedard (booker of the Hemlock Tavern) shares some of the worst booking emails he’s ever gotten. Plus, two bona fide Robin Williams experts:
