Ashley Bennett by. Ameen Belbahri
There are a few people who are absolutely necessary and you’re extremely glad they they exist. Even if relationships are severed and bridges lay scorch, their pure essence and personality and aura is enough to make the world better. I wonder if these people realize how important they are, the beacons for foggy days.
I believe Ashley is one of those people. There hasn’t been a day that I’ve known her, that she didn’t boost the quality of life in one way or another. She has an amazing “get up and go” spirit and throws all her many talents and tastes (cooking, karaoke, wining and winning) at whatever she wants to accomplish. She’s most expertly defined by the word: “cool”. Any person who can cook dos casseroles, then kick your ass at Mario Kart while discussing Sifl and Olly is extremely cool. Not only that, but she’s an amazing, blossoming comedian who makes me laugh heartily every time she graces the stage. She’s so matter a fact and nonchalant about it too, she’s competently content. Go figure the funny lady with the Craiglist postings at the Ladies Brainwash in April would turn out to be one of my most beloved friends. Certainly an unsung hero to my work on this blog and deserving of all the praise here and afar: I wish Ashley Bennett a very happy birthday.
