This week’s headliner Dave Thomason is a stand-up comedian & writer based in San Francisco. He’s a winner of Rooftop Comedy’s Silver Nail Award recognizing the best in underground comedy. His stand-up has been featured on NPR’s “Snap Judgment”, Hulu, and Revision3. He’s performed at the SF Sketchfest and the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival, and he’s a regular at the Punch Line in San Francisco. While attending UC Berkeley, Dave was a two-time semi-finalist in the National College Comedy Competition.

Femikaze, the Bay Area’s funniest sketch troupe, keeps comedy fresh with brand new material for “A Femikaze Summer’s Eve.” 
As the East Bay’s premiere all-female comedy team, Femikaze brings the finest in pro-feminist, pro-funny sketch comedy, mining laughs from popular culture, politics and the quirks of being female in contemporary America. 
Founded in 2011 by Kelly Anneken and Isa Hopkins, Femikaze creates opportunities in comedy for ladies of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities and orientations. After a run with “Comedy Brains” (Winner, “Best Comedy Show Remix,” East Bay Express) and San Francisco’s “A Funny Night for Comedy,” Femikaze played to sold out audiences with their shows, “Night of the Living Femikaze” and “Femikaze History Month.” The newly minted non-profit is thrilled to return to Berkeley’s Subterranean Arthouse this summer.
Femikaze boasts an all-star roster of Bay Area comedy favorites, including Kay-c Allen, Allie Blackwell, Therese Garcia, Erin Loftus, Kirsten Macaulay, Natasha Muse, Evangeline Reilly, Carinne Salnave, and Zoe Salnave.
Sketches in A Femikaze Summer’s Eve include a rare glimpse of Big Bonerd, America’s favorite plus-sized girl rockers, Jane Eyre’s adventures in online dating, Samuel L. Jackson’s m*ther f*cking talk show, an ad for Calvin Klein’s newest fragrance, and the return of audience favorite “Fucked Up Fridays.” Each show kicks off with performances from local comedians Nina G, Colleen Watson, Chris Burns, and Lydia Popovich.
