Today marks another anniversary in the life of David Cairns and the one-year anniversary of the article I wrote in his honor. I thank comedy for introducing me to people I love and those who love me back. Love is great.
Happy Birthday Cairns, though we hardly get to see each other, we make it count. Have a great day and I’ll see you at the next writing session.

Walk the Plank Finals. 8 PM. $20. 286 Jefferson St. San Francisco. It’s here: the finale of the Walk the Plank Competition at Castagnola’s on the Wharf. Tickets are selling out fast, comedians are preparing deligently, and Slappy the Seal has a hangover. The competition has been highly successful and has allowed this blog to include Rocky music in a genuine fashion. Congratulations to Sam Davidoff, Sheila Bryson, Tim Defurisne, Marty Grimes, Kevin Munroe, Cameron Vannini, Dave Deluca, and Jules Posner. To the best comic goes the spoil.
