[Had the pleasure of working with Matt last night in Brentwood. Funny dude.]
News: Mutiny Radio Inaugral Open Mic Comedy Show. 2781 Mission St. SF. Sign Ups: 6:30. Show: 7:00. Hosted by Alex Q. Huffman [From the ashes of Pirate Cat, comedy in the cafe returns].
If you are interested in doing a set tonight at Mutiny (21st and Florida in The Mission) please stop by after 6:30 p.m. We are going to do some guerrilla radio shit tonight and set up an impromptu room. I’ll be hosting/ running the cafe, Juan Medina will be handling technical issues and Jason Dove will be floating through reality per usual. We are going to try to keep the room running from 7-10. I will let everyone run pretty long too. Expect 7-15 minute sets minimum. The chance of us securing a crowd is slim but the show will be broadcast on the Mutiny Live Stream and the sets will be able to be heard outside the cafe thanks to our wondrous single speaker shitbox set up. Please stop by and help us secure a Friday Night Mic. If we pull this off we will most likely have a new room where each set will be recorded and broadcast live to throngs of adoring Mutiny fans across the globe!

Today is Juan’s birthday. In addition to being a talented comedian and emcee, Juan is a brother to me and a friend to many. He’s contributed to this blog, encourages boldness, and has been apart of some pretty eventful experiences over the last year or so. Love this guy to death, even when we butt heads. Happy birthday Juan.
