"I have a weird voice. It sounds like a black guy, that sounds like a white guy, making fun of a black guy. I sound like Yosemite Samuel L. Jackson"

The Runaway Truck Driver (Storytime: Aparna Nancherla) [via aboveaverage]

[Last night I got a chance to catch Aparna at the cyniccave in San Francisco. It was my first time seeing her live since Girl Talk 1 back in 2011(?). It’s amazing how much has changed since then. Aparna is still Aparna, but it’s delightful to see how casual and conversational her style has become. No gimmicks, no pander. Aparna Nancherla is going to be my go-to for a long time because everything points to a winding, evolving, engaging artistry. I can’t wait to see—and be amused wildly by—her again.]

"Here’s a weird prejudice I have: whenever I see a skeleton, I assume it’s a male."
