Favorite Things of Last Night: Alice Wetterlund
[I don’t know why Wetterlund frequents the Bay semi-annually, but, christ shakes, it’s a fetching occurrence. She was very funny last night at the San Francisco Punch Line, in a way that’s emphatic, irrevocable and anecdotal. A real class act.]
6/4. Ladies Love the Punch Line @ San Francisco Punch Line. 444 Battery St. SF. 8pm. $7.50-$15. Featuring Marga Gomez, Anna Seregina, Mary-Alice McNab, Layla Baird, Dhaya Lakshminarayanan, Queenie TT and hosted by Lydia Popovich. Tickets Available Here & Here. CODE WORD: LADIES.
[The “Ladies Love” series has been an overflowing bastion of smart and funny in the Bay Area. Whether it be at the Layover in Oakland, or the Punch Line or abroad, it’s featured a spectrum of comedy in a fun, nurturing environment. It’s hard to find a more balanced, non-patronizing, sincere showcase in the City, especially for so cheap at a landmark venue. Go support it out if you know what’s good for you.]
