A very special happy birthday is in order for one Mr. Trevor Hill. I often call him “My Favorite White Guy”. This statement is slightly hyperbolic but indicative of how much I appreciate Trevor. Extremely loquacious and verbose with a consciously clever point of view, Hill is an GREAT comedian. In addition to his talents, his commitment to the craft and humbleness in knowing he has more work ahead makes him bold with potential. To that spirit and grace, I salute you.
Gavin Really Wants Me. Episode #1 by Mary Van Note
Today is the birthday of the amazing Mary Van Note. An inspiration and influence, Mary encapsulates duality, style and vulnerability in a disjointed, raucous, unique way. She’s an auteur; her comics, fashion, jokes, and videos are all harmonious and genuine. Seeing her at the Dark Room in 2009 was part of the revelation that brought me to my current standing in comedy and to that I say thank you Miss Mary Van Note. Happy Birthday and many more.

Today we celebrate the birthday of the lovely Lydia Popovich, comedian and hater extraordinaire. Comedy has injected a number of awesome people into my life and Lydia on the plateau of that list. Precise, charming and boisterous; Lydia onstage is alluringly sarcastic. Off stage she’s been supportive and endearing. I look back fondly at sharing disparaging banter about the hippie/hipsters at Golden Gate Park for Outside Lands Fest. I also look forward to further friendship & fandom of Lydia Popovich.
[Today is Mr. Edwards’ birthday. He’s always been a favorite on the stage, a supporter from the back, and an avid reader of this site. He’s very cool, I’m glad for his success in So Cal and look forward to random karaoke adventures in the future.]
Jules Posner and I are closing out the 23-Year-Old Tour. Every year for about a month, Jules and I do shows under the premise of being the same age. Unfortunately Jules turns 24 today. Until next year sir, until next year sir.
