This August, The Super Serious Show is headed to Scotland for 24 1-hour shows in 25 days. Due to ginormous production costs, the show has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise some of the funds. There are plenty of fun rewards for backers including a handmade construction paper card portrait of your adorable face.

Morgan, comedian/storyteller, is embarking on a six show tour to showcase her unique life and needs your help! Here’s a little blurb from the artist, and if you’re interested, donate by clicking the link. (P.S. There’s a hilarious commercial for the project in the link as well).

My name is Morgan. I’m a stand up comedian and storyteller from San Francisco, who just happens to be transgender. The ultimate goal of my work is to promote acceptance and tolerance for transgendered people, while making audiences laugh! Let me tell you, this trip between two genders has been wild, and my emotionally charged stories reflect this…

Every time I get on stage I’m defiantly visible, funny, and unapologetic about who I am. And I hope it helps clear a path for those that follow, and for those that question. All kinds of people enjoy the stories of my journey, which promote acceptance and tolerance- things that are needed in these times, and I’m just the woman to get those tales out!

Laughter Against the Machine (a group of comedians I am a part of) would like to tour this fall…and not only that, we’d like to tape our hi-jinx for a documentary about the state of America today. But we’re comics so…we’re broke (seriously, guys, I have a VERY demanding cat to feed.)

Please please please please help us out by donating to our cause: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2078067338/laughter-against-the-machine-a-tour-documentary

We’re offering some awesome rewards to anyone who donates but I’m also not above begging, or groveling, or embarrassing hazing rituals.

[Laughter Against the Machine Kickstarter: Support great comedy from great comedians who are also great people. You’ll feel better for doing so.]

So, this is happening.  10 Days left to fund Thugs The Musical. Wanna help me make it? Click the link above or visit thugsthemusical.com to go to our Kickstarter page and donate!  Thanks for your support!

Hey Guys. Anybody who knows me, knows I’m a fan of Broadway musicals. Wicked, Beauty and the Beast, Rent, Hello Dolly! I have never seen these shows. I just know a few choice songs. I’m too broke to be in a theater. Still, I’m a fan of the arts and one project that is capturing my attention is Thugs: The Musical. This project is under the helm of Sir Kevin Avery, who is celebrating a birthday today. I implore you, please contribute to Thugs: the Musical, I’m pretty sure getting to achieve dreams is a good birthday present. And if you don’t do it for Kevin, do it for Johnny.
