(Jabari is becoming one of the most prolific showrunners in the town. Tonight offers comedy from some really great up-and-comers and its great to see so many people with gobs of potential get the opportunity to rock it at the Purple Onion. Look out for Josh Argyle, that guy is quickly becoming a champ.)

Blue Room @ Club 93 (on 9th St.). 10-12 P.M. 21+. SF. Hosted by David Hawkins. Featuring Chris Schiappacasse, Jesse Elias, Jenn Dronsky, Ricky Luna and Justin Scales (This is one of the best line-ups I’ve seen on a showcase format; I absolutely adore every act involved. In addition to extremely capable, far-reaching comedy, it’s happening in the hottest spot in the scene at the moment).

Funny Tuesdays @ Harvey’s. 500 Castro St. SF. 9 PM. $5. Featuring (Sk)Ills Goldbarg, Ronn Vigh, Heather Thomson and Brendan Lynch. (The range of performers is excessively impressive. I’m rooting iLLs as she continues her comedy adventure.)

(Duat has really been on a tear as of late. Ben just had a gold set at Holly’s. Colleen rarely shakes babies and Coree might just kick you in the chest. )

The Alternates Stand-Up Comedy Showcase @ Cal Berkeley. 2060 VLSB (Valley Life Sciences Building). 7 PM. $1 (Almost a year since meeting these kids, and undeniably a wide growth with all involved. Good times with good kids)

Jericho: “For the Love of the Game”. 2 Shows @ 10 Evans. Saturday 11/6 and Sunday 11/7. $3. (Cal Berkeley’s premier improv/sketch group performs its first big show of the semester. The gang has been promoting this pretty hard and they have the talent to back it up. Plus who can say no, to karate kids?)

(Breaking his own mold, Jabari crafts a new show outside of his normal last weekend festivities. These two show feature talented newcomers: Bryant Hicks and Karinda Dobbins at the head and slew of talented guest performers. As always, these shows feature the local legend Tony Sparks at the hosting helm. Check it out good people.)

The ‘Sco Show @ Il Pirata. 2007 16th St. SF. 9:30 PM. Free.99 (No Cover). Featuring all SF-born comedians like Luke Lockfeld, Jules Posner, Rad Reyes and more. (If you’re still coming down from the high of the Giant’s World Series win this show is your methadone)

Like we always do at this time. Jabari Davis and Associates @ The Purple Onion featuring a slew of talented comedians with Jabari Davis at the top of the bill and Tony Sparks on crowd control. This still continues to be one of the more successful comedy showcases in the city and allows of fresh faces to meet the world at the most historic San Francisco comedy venues. Now that you know, what are you gonna do about it?
