[Sketchfest if renown for a consistent streak of heartwarming tributes, tantalizing reunions, and emboldened deluxe screenings. It’s also a huge proponent of cross-country-comedy pollination. Charles, an award-winning duo from Seattle, is one highly infectious strand of said dissemination returns to San Francisco. Each year the team seems to come out of nowhere, a revelation to unwitting audiences, despite being active for a number of years. It’s hard to convey the genius of Charles; although, I did try hard last year. ![As you should already know by now, SF Sketchfest returns January 24th for it’s 12th iteration of being one of the WORLD’S premier comedy festivals. The awesomeness therein contained certainly makes this site’s job easier, and the fest’s history is a gold mine for blog-ammunition. But we’re going to take our time, we’re going to make it romantic, we’re going to spend time Courting Sketchfest. So, for the next 40 DAYS I shall be highlighting the locals, loaners, and longshots with a keen eye on the underdog while give props to the top.

There is a big announcement about SF Sketchfest 2013 that’s coming up this Friday, but we’re sworn to secrecy by the binding agreement of a press release to not say anything else. That being said, we have read that press release and it’ll be some damn fine news if you…
Somehow, The Shits & Giggles Comedy Festival slipped under our radar and kicked off last night with Kyle Kinane headlining. Put on by the Hummingbird Healing Center and humor mag Savage Henry Independent Times in Humboldt, CA, there’s still two nights to go with plenty of shows featuring some wonderful California comedy with Howard Kremer, Alex Koll, Nick Rutherford, Cornell Reid, Barbara Gray, Sean Green, Paul Danke, and more.
The San Francisco Comedy and Burrito Festival (SFCBF) is a three day long festival celebrating two of the greatest things in the world: stand-up comedy and burritos. The entire festival will take place in the centrally located Mission District of San Francisco. Each ticket purchase will earn the festival goer a free burrito!
The festival will take place October 11th to 13th, 2012
UPDATE: The San Francisco Comedy and Burrito Festival has raised $4,519 with 29 days to go. $481 left. That means you should all contribute TODAY to insure all the burritos and laughs will hit your face with supreme velocity.
