Trevor Hill presents Hand to Mouth: a monthly, topic-based comedy show where each edition explores a specific social, cultural or political issue. One show, one topic.
September’s Topic: Dreams!
On Friday 9/19, Jules Posner (SF Sketchfest, The Business), Kelly Anneken (Femikaze), Kimberly Rose Wendt (Bitchslap Comedy), Drew Harmon (SF Punchline), Francesca Fiorentini (Laugh to Not Cry), Stevie Post (Purple Onion) and guest host Matt Lieb (Mission Position) will journey down the rabbit hole of dreams, nightmares, visions, fantasies, fears, deja vu, imagination, the subconscious, sleepwalking, and that one dream where you’re working at a carwash inside of a volcano and your boss is your 2nd Grade teacher, but with the face of a panther. You know the one.
Hand to Mouth: Dreams Friday, September 19th @ 8:30PM Lost Weekend Video (1034 Valencia St.) Cover: $10
Who will speak for sketch? When it’s all over, when the theaters are empty, when the stand-ups scatter, the celebrities fly away and the improvisers jam out, who will speak for the hardest discipline to sustain in San Francisco?
[My latest review for Spinning Platters covering the Don’t Watch This Show Live! (dwtslive) and Femikaze (femikaze) show hosted by Jules Posner at the Eureka Theater on 1/27/2014]
On Saturday, January 4th, come join us at Dirty Trix Saloon to get a head start on breaking your New Year’s resolutions. The comedy is free, and the booze is about as close as you can get to free without being at your company’s holiday party. But unlike that party, you don’t have to worry about embarrassing yourself in front of people.
1/5. Give Me Fiction @ Lost Weekend Video. 1034 Valencia St. SF. 8PM. $10. Featuring Spencer Bainbridge, Kyle Mizono, Aly Jones, Jules Posner, Steven Westdahl, Lydia Popovich. Hosted by Ivan Hernandez.
GIVE ME FICTION continues its run at Lost Weekend Video, and this is the last month you can attend and still achieve the rank of GROUND FLOOR COOL KID. Some of the finest minds in comedy, literature, and theatre write pieces around a theme, which they are free to interpret as loosely or strictly as they wish. This month’s theme is CHANGE, and reading will be:
