You are cordially invited to the Sylvan Showcase, a one-of-a-kind comedy carnaval in the heart of downtown Oakland. Hosted by OJ Patterson (he knows), the Sylvan Showcase provides ample introduction to the greater Bay Area comedy community. Following each act, a cool interview provides further jokes, elaboration and entertainment. 

This week’s spotlight performers:

Bobby Joe Ebola and the Children MacNuggits (humorist, satirical, catchy tunemakers)
Chris Burns (Sophisticated, sarcastic, sass).
Matt Louv (hilarious eloquence and frustration, Sylvan Productions)
Chris Thayer (man about town, man for all seasons, sardonic champion)

Also, accompanying the merrymaking is of course: you. All comedians, hobbyist, amateur or professional, are welcome to participate limited open mic happening from 7:00-8:15pm. Sign-up: 6:30pm. 

Of course, Vitus wouldn’t be Vitus without the food, drinks and pinball, available in abundance. Free show, cheap food, and cheap drinks is a no brainer.

Caitlin Gill was featured as one of 7x7’s “7 Comics Rocking the Local Scene” and has worked with such names as Robin Williams, Doug Benson, Arj Barker and Andy Kindler. She has been a regular performer in SF SketchFest since 2007, and has also appeared at the Vancouver Gloval Comedy Fest, as well as host of the SF Women’s Comedy Competition. When Caitlin isn’t performing at the top comedy venues around the Bay Area, she can be seen performing as a regular member of the renowned comedy company The Business.
