Sweet Gail, one of the most notorious members of San Francisco’s comedy community, entered into the most peculiar love affair with good intentions and tragic ramifications. Over the last couple of years comedian/filmmaker Kollin Holtz documented her intensely courting Misha Trubs, resulting in a compelling case of attraction, empathy, ethics, integrity, mental health, boundaries and the ubiquitousness of seeing peers at mics all the time (and the implications of their absence). The mini-documentary is over 20 minutes, covers over four years and is the San Francisco equivalent of Crazy Love albeit—thankfully—less sinister.
